Millward Brown Appoints First Global HR Chief

Ed Laginess, previously Executive VP, Human Resources and Administration at Synovate / Market Facts Inc., has become Millward Brown's first Global Director, Human Resources.

Laginess started this week, reports directly to Millward Brown CEO Bob Meyers and is based at the company's Naperville office in the USA.

Bob Meyers says the company has always done 'a great job' of attracting, managing and retaining talent at the regional level but feel that 'now is the right time to appoint someone to take a more global overview of our efforts. Ed's role will involve managing our global transfers program, working with our regional CEOs on such issues as creating global succession plans, and ensuring that the right global training is put in place to enable our people to better help both local and global clients create great brands'.

Laginess says he is 'really looking forward to drawing together a global HR program for Millward Brown... Attracting and keeping talented people is the key to MB's fortunes and my job will be to ensure that it keeps its competitive advantage'.
