Speaker Line up for MRS Conference 2004

December 11 2003

The Market Research Society (MRS) in the UK has recently announced the line up of keynote speakers to address its annual conference, RESEARCH 2004: The Dream Economy, which is due to take place in London in March next year.

The speakers have been confirmed as Dr Kjell Nordström, one of the world's leading management thinkers and co-author of Funky Business; Michelle Mone, entrepreneur and founder of the Ultimo bra; Paul Feldwick, Executive Director of Planning at BMP DDB; and Anjna Raheja, Managing Director of Media Moguls and co-author of the IPA's ethnic diversity guide.

As the brains behind the highly-acclaimed 'Funky Business' strategy, Dr Kjell Nordström, Assistant Professor at the Institute of International Business in Stockholm, is famed for his innovative and dynamic attitude to business. Kjell frequently advises some of the world's largest companies on business strategy and his most recent book, Funky Business - talent makes capital dance, which he co-authored with Dr Jonas Ridderstråle, was ranked as one of the five best business books in 2000 by Amazon.co.uk and Management General.

The creator of the Ultimo bra, Michelle Mone has helped to revolutionise the UK lingerie market and, in the process, has become one of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs. Michelle's talk is set to offer words of inspiration on how to develop a thriving business.

New for RESEARCH 2004 will be an interactive debate on the issue of ethnic and cultural identity and its role in the dream economy. This one-off session will be opened with an address from Anjna Raheja who, as MD of specialist ethnic marketing company Media Moguls and co-author of the IPA's ethnic diversity guide, brings a wealth of expertise in this field.

Paul Feldwick, who has been a regular and popular contributor to previous MRS conferences, will open the conference with his keynote address. Paul's session is likely to provide an inspiring insight into the future of the industry, with a particular focus on research's contribution to advertising development and the renewed growth of the advertising industry.

Commenting on the speaker line up, Andy Dexter, Chair, RESEARCH 2004, said, 'We are delighted that so many excellent speakers have agreed to participate in RESEARCH 2004. Their expertise is set to ensure lively, thought-provoking sessions that cover a diverse range of issues. In addition, their involvement further endorses the steps The MRS is taking to create an interesting and wide-ranging conference that caters for everyone involved in the marketing and communications industry'.
