ORC Sports Research

December 15 2003

Opinion Research Corporation has just established the ORC Sports Research Desk and has hired Seth Levenstein, formerly President of Dynasty Sports Marketing, as Director.

'We've established the ORC Sports Research Desk to bring to the $220 billion sports-related marketplace the same discipline of rigorous research and analysis that we have delivered to the world's premier enterprises for 65 years', said James C. Fink, Ph.D., Vice Chairman of Opinion Research Corporation. 'We see this new service - providing a level of sophisticated analytics and an ROI discipline not available in the marketplace -- as a direct, industry-focused extension of our core competencies in branding, corporate reputation, customer loyalty and organization diagnostics'.

Dr. Fink added: 'To lead our efforts, we're very fortunate that Seth has agreed to join us. With his experience, which is a rare combination of marketing research and sports marketing, and his extensive contacts in the industry, we foresee significant opportunities for profitable growth in both the near- and long-term'.

Among the services offered by the ORC Sports Research Desk are the quantification and analysis of:

  • Sponsorship effectiveness
  • Brand preference and loyalty
  • Image tracking and measurement
  • Competitive analysis
  • Concept testing
  • Product awareness
  • Market penetration
  • Emerging market trends
  • Name/logo recognition
  • Spokesperson suitability
  • Fan profiling
  • Fan spend, buy and consumption.

Before joining Opinion Research Corporation, Seth Levenstein was President of Dynasty Sports Marketing, a specialist research and consulting firm.
