February 3 2004

Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has appointed Scott W. Klein as its new President & CEO. Klein joins from Electronic Data Systems Corporation where he was President of the Consumer Industries & Retail business.

Klein is an honors accounting graduate of Syracuse University who started his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble and worked as Director of Marketing at PepsiCo. Prior to EDS, he was President of PC Mall, Inc., a California-based telesales, catalog, and Internet reseller of IT products, and a co-founder of PrimeSource Building Products which grew from $12m to nearly $1 billion in his time as COO.

In his new role Klein is charged with strengthening IRI's core business of market content and analytic services, while extending services through business performance management solutions. Klein's aim is to lead the company in 'once again ... helping reinvent the CPG and Retail industry ... by building on the great work and legacy that has been created by IRI's dedicated team'. He will address the challenges facing CPG and Retail industries at IRI's 'Reinventing CPG 2004 Summit' at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California, February 22-24, 2004.

Klein and his family will be relocating to Chicago from Plano, Texas. IRI's web site is at www.infores.com
