NeuroFocus Hires Innovation Leader

December 4 2009

Neuromarketing company NeuroFocus has hired Dr. Stephen Genco in the new role of Chief Innovation Officer. He previously founded and was CEO of San Francisco-based neuromarketing firm Lucid Systems.

Prior to launching Lucid, Genco held senior management and consulting positions at organisations including KMPG, The Concours Group and Stanford University; and led management and product strategy groups at four Silicon Valley startup companies. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University, and has extensive experience in research methodologies and statistical design.

He will report direct to founder and CEO Dr. A. K. Pradeep, who comments: 'The breadth and depth of NeuroFocus offerings and our accelerating momentum both domestically and internationally calls for bringing someone with his proven talents on board to lead our innovation team. His combination of business and consulting experience along with neuromarketing knowledge is an excellent fit for our company as we continue to open offices and NeuroLabs in the U.S. and across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.'

The company, in which Nielsen is a strategic investor, employs senior staff with doctorates in neuroscience and marketing from leading institutions including the University of California at Berkeley, MIT, Harvard and Oxford University.
