Quantcast Hires Yahoo! Man for European Push

US-based web audience measurement specialist Quantcast has expanded into Europe, and appointed former Yahoo! Director Philip Macauley to spearhead the venture as UK Managing Director.

Philip MacauleyLaunched in 2006, San-Francisco-based Quantcast provides web site owners with measured traffic, demographic, lifestyle, business and geographic audience data, to help them understand and profile their best customers, and target similar prospects across the web.

Macauley joins after ten years at Yahoo!, where he most recently held the post of Director of Business Development and Commercial Relations. He joined the company as Head of Planning and Strategy for the UK and Pan-European market, and during his time with the company has held various senior roles including Agency Sales Director and Head of Publisher Partnerships.

Before this, he was Head of Digital at WPP agency MindShare, and worked as a TV Buyer at PHD Media.
