BrainJuicer Grows 48% in First Half of 2010

July 14 2010

Online market research specialist BrainJuicer has reported growth of 48% for the first half of 2010, primarily driven by its business in the UK and US.

CEO John KearonFounded in 1999, BrainJuicer differentiates itself by adding breakthroughs in psychology, behavioural economics and social sciences to its 'Juicy' tools, designed to predict human behaviour. These tools accounted for 61% of group revenue in 2009.

The Board is expecting to deliver further good progress in the second half of the year, and says that 2010 results will be in line with expectations reported in the 2009 results published in March.

'We plan to deliver strong revenue growth, while continuing to invest heavily in our strategically important 'Juicy' product development, and talent, to support our longer term ambitions to become a top 10 global market research group,' the Board said in a trading statement.

During the first half of 2010, the firm appointed former TomTom CMO Alex Batchelor as COO, and Carola Verschoor as MD in Holland, from her previous role as Marketing Director, Coffee Innovations at Sara Lee.

Additionally during 2010, the firm has expanded its geographical footprint by opening offices in Brazil and China led by Han Zantingh and Gabriel Aleixo respectively.

BrainJuicer's total headcount is likely to increase from 80 at the beginning of 2010 to around 100 by the year end.

The company's interim results will be announced on 22 September 2010.
