ForeSee Settles Patent Lawsuit

November 24 2011

US customer satisfaction measurement firm ForeSee Results has reached an 'omnibus litigation settlement' with patent licensing company Lodsys, which had claimed ForeSee's online survey software infringed its patents.

All outstanding litigation settledForeSee initiated the lawsuit in June, when it alleged that Texas-based Lodsys had sent threatening letters to its clients, claiming their use of ForeSee's software infringed Lodsys' patents.

At the time ForeSee denied the infringement and asked for a declaration that the patent claims were invalid, as well as requesting a court order to force Lodsys to stop 'disrupting its business and harassing its clients'.

In a statement issued yesterday, ForeSee said it had reached a settlement with Lodsys, which resolved all outstanding litigation claims between the two firms, and terminates all pending litigation with Lodsys relating to ForeSee's products and services - including all such claims against ForeSee's customers. Specific terms of the settlement have not been made public.
