Kantar Media Compete Names Kimelfeld CRO

In the US, online behavioural measurement firm Kantar Media Compete has appointed former MediaVest digital research specialist Dr Yaakov Kimelfeld as its new Chief Research Officer (CRO), succeeding John Bremer who left the company last year.

Dr Yaakov KimelfeldCompete was established in the US in 2000, acquired by TNS in 2008, and then integrated into WPP-owned Kantar in 2010. The firm provides a broad spectrum of digital marketing solutions from audience insight and path-to-purchase tracking to media planning and marketing.

During his career, Kimelfeld has developed numerous custom media planning and research tools, while working with media partners such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Yahoo! Most recently, he served as SVP, Digital Research and Analytics Director for MediaVest, where he established the digital analytics practice. Prior to this, Kimelfeld was the Director of Marketing Optimization at WPP's Mediacom, and as Group Director, Business Intelligence at sister agency Beyond Interactive.

Kimelfeld replaces, Bremer who left the firm last year to join online panel and survey tech firm Toluna as CRO. Earlier in his career, Bremer worked at Harris Interactive as SVP, Global Representativeness and Co-Director of the Center for Innovation.
