Gemius Wins Czech Internet Audience Contract Again

May 13 2014

The Czech Association for Internet Advertising (SPIR) has renewed its contract with Polish company Gemius as the official provider of internet research in the Republic, for another two years from January 2015.

Joint Industry Committee SPIR conducted a tender process leading to the agreement, which carries the option to extend for another two years.

Gemius, which will as previously work with the Czech research agency Mediaresearch to deliver the key metrics, has been measuring use of the Internet in the country since 2005. It last extended the contract in October 2011, since when it has won or extended official audience measurement contracts in Moldova, Hungary, Portugal, Turkey, Denmark, Kazakhstan, and last month Belgium and Luxembourg. The company employs around 300 staff in seventeen local offices, and was founded in 1999.

Vesna Zakarič, International Sales and Marketing Director at Gemius, comments: 'The victory in the tender is important for us, as it further confirms the trust that SPIR places in us. We are proud to provide Internet measurement currency in the Czech Republic, one of the most developed internet markets in EMEA region.

Known in the Czech Republic as NetMonitor, the service is in operation under the wider name of gemiusAudience in more than 35 countries in the EMEA region.
