Merkle Names Leader for Hi-Tech and B-to-B Practices

In the US, data-driven CRM agency Merkle has appointed Michael McLaren as Executive Global Group Director for its High-Tech and B-to-B practices.

Michael McLarenMcLaren (pictured) joins after a seventeen-year career at digital marketing and relationship management agency MRM/McCann, where he most recently served as CEO, and was previously President. Earlier he held director-level roles at Ogilvy & Mather, and was MD at Ammiratis Puris Lintas. He has also just been appointed as Chairman of the now re-named Data & Marketing Association.

In his new role, McLaren will assume leadership of each of the two divisions, and is also tasked with helping evolve the account management function to ensure the integration of Merkle's analytic, technology, consulting and creative services. President and CEO David Williams comments: 'Michael is a globalist, in reference not only to his extensive international experience, but also his far-reaching industry experience. This will play an important part in his success at Merkle, as we continue to expand our own global footprint'.
