Populus Names Lloyd Director of Corporate Reputation

UK-based polling company Populus has appointed Ben Lloyd as Director of Corporate Reputation, leading the Reputation Research team.

Ben LloydFounded in 2003 by former Tory party staff Michael Simmonds, Andrew Cooper (now known as Lord Cooper of Windrush) and Rick Nye, Populus is best known for its work in polling and political research, and was previously pollster to the Times newspaper. The firm also has its own data collection and processing business, Populus Data Solutions, with an in-house CATI operation.

Lloyd (pictured) joins from Millward Brown, where as Head of the Corporate Practice he led a team of 25 specialising in reputation and B2B communications and branding research. Before this he was MD, Reputation at media and marketing insights firm Ebiquity, and a Senior Director at reputation specialist Echo Research prior to its acquisition by Ebiquity in 2011.

In his new role, Lloyd is tasked with managing client planning and strategy at a senior level, and helping clients identify how their reputation can inform and advise business decisions. In a statement, a Populus spokesperson said: 'We are delighted to welcome highly skilled reputation research specialist Ben Lloyd to our reputation and strategy division. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of leading reputation teams and helping clients make informed decisions'.
