New Funds for UK Big Data Firm Hello Soda

Manchester, UK-based text and big data analytics firm Hello Soda has raised £5.5m in a round of funding, which it will use to continue its global growth plans.

James BlakeHello Soda employs a team of data scientists, engineers, psycholinguists, natural language processors and unstructured data analysts, who build software to deliver insights into consumers' digital footprints and behaviour. Last year, the firm opened an office in Austin, Texas, and it also has offices in Thailand and India.

The new investment has been led by NVM Private Equity's £4m investment, alongside an additional venture debt facility from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank's Growth Finance team. Hello Soda says the funds will also be used to raise the profile of its offerings in the ID verification, risk and personalisation verticals.
