Kantar Partners with Healthcare Data Firm Komodo

May 21 2019

In the US, Kantar has partnered with healthcare market intelligence specialist Komodo Health, to develop data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) tools linking clinical encounter and patient reported outcomes data, and improve patient outcomes.

Jeremy BrodyKomodo Health's AI platform cross-links patient journey data with other medical and healthcare datasets to extract new insights and deliver predictive analytics. The partnership will support Kantar's new Claritis offer, which was launched yesterday to link clinical data with patient reported outcomes (PRO).

Claritis is intended for decision-making scenarios such as providing payer agencies with the required evidence to support reimbursement decisions, supporting regulatory bodies that require evidence of real-world safety and effectiveness, and generating critical information for use by healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers. In addition, Claritis offers a HIPAA-certified approach for linking de-identified clinical data with de-identified survey data, probabilistic matching, and linking software validated at error rates which Kantar says are less than industry standards.

Jeremy Brody (pictured), Chief Strategy Officer for the Health Division of Kantar, comments: 'Through its rich clinical encounter data, Komodo Health has assembled an impressive, comprehensive picture of patient journeys across the US healthcare system. Its Healthcare Map links over 150 payer-complete datasets, providing real-time and longitudinal data on more than 300 million US patients. This partnership will enhance our breakthrough Claritis offering and deliver major advancements in evidence generation for real world research'.
