New TNS Health Group to Cater for Smaller Clients

September 19 2005

TNS Healthcare has announced the creation of a Specialty Healthcare Group in North America, backed up by four senior appointments. In line with other recent group restructures, TNS says the move should help 'meet the unique needs of emerging submarkets as the healthcare industry evolves'.

The new Group is aimed at small to mid-size pharmaceutical, biotech, device and diagnostic companies, as well as consulting and advertising agencies, and will base much of its strength on TNS' online 'Jstreet' physician panel. A sister group, the Major Pharma Group, focuses on providing market intelligence to large pharmaceutical companies.

Four appointments provide a framework for the client service team for the new Group:

  • Michael Rosenberg, formerly Global Infrastructure & Knowledge Management Officer, becomes the Group's President, with overall responsibility
  • Jonathan Kay and Jeremy Brody, co-founders of TNS Jstreet, will occupy senior positions (President, Business Solutions and Sales, and Senior Vice-President, Panel Activities, respectively)
  • in addition, Adam Warner has recently joined as an Account Manager with major responsibilities in the area of client sales. Warner's previous experience includes both consulting and client side.
Elaine Riddell, CEO of TNS Healthcare, says that 'companies within specialty healthcare have different information needs and resources than those in the major pharmaceutical industry. Our Specialty Healthcare Group is led by professionals who understand the unique requirements of this market'.

TNS' corporate home page is at www.tns-global.com.
