Los Angeles-based consumer insights and analytics business MarketCast Group has hired former Nielsen exec Graham McKenna as Chief Marketing Officer, leading its brand, product marketing and communications efforts.
MarketCast Group serves clients in the media, entertainment and lifestyle sectors worldwide. It comprises four consumer insights businesses: entertainment research specialist MarketCast, research and strategy agency Insight Strategy Group, social media research and analytics firm Fizziology, and sports research and advisory firm Turnkey Intelligence.
McKenna (pictured) joins after nearly three years at Nielsen, where he latterly served as SVP of Product Marketing for Nielsen Media, having previously been SVP of Marketing & Communications for Nielsen Portfolio. He joined the company from media and entertainment data provider Gracenote (acquired by Nielsen in 2016), where he led all marketing and communications efforts for the firm's previous owner Tribune as well as for Gracenote itself. Earlier, he was VP of Marketing and Communications for Sony (which owned Gracenote prior to its acquisition by Tribune), and worked for ad and comms agency Pacifico, newscast KTVU and Hearst Television.
