Screen Engine/ASI Hires NRG's Jason Bubenicek

November 12 2019

US TV, film and video research firm Screen Engine/ASI has appointed long-time NRG exec Jason Bubenicek as SVP Data Intelligence, working with the Marketing Science team to develop a data warehouse that will be used to identify new product opportunities.

Jason BubenicekSE/ASI's film research capabilities include recruited audience screenings, positioning studies, film focus groups and ad testing, as well as three proprietary methods: TrailerTrak; competitive tracking study Tracktion; and PostTrak, offered in partnership with Comscore. It also provides television clients with multi-mode and in-home content testing. In February it acquired media research consultancy The Diffusion Group (TDG).

Bubenicek began his 30-year career at entertainment research specialist National Research Group (NRG), initially as Call Center Supervisor and then Software Developer, after which he worked for Nielsen NRG as Software Development Manager, prior to Nielsen's sale of the unit to Stagwell. Most recently, he was NRG's SVP, IT & Software Development, during which time he led the firm's carve out from Nielsen to become a standalone business.

In his new role, Bubenicek reports to Bob Levin, President, and Bruce Friend, Chief Product & Innovation Officer. Founder and CEO Kevin Goetz comments: 'I have known Jason for many years and I am so happy to finally have him joining our team. I know of his many accomplishments and am sure he will prove instrumental in our commitment to maximizing the value inherent in the data we collect and will provide leadership in all areas of data management'.
