Verto Analytics Names Liz Musch Chair

Digital media measurement firm Verto Analytics has named former Ipsos CEO Liz Musch as the new Chair of its Board of Directors.

Verto's measurement services are accessed through a single point and include syndicated service Cross-Media Watch; mobile / multi-screen consumer behaviour measure App Watch; and SmartPoll, which combines and compares survey data with cross-device consumer behavioural data collected through passive metering. Musch (pictured) joined the Board in 2017, having previously served as Global CEO of Ipsos' Loyalty and ASI brand and communications divisions. Prior to that, she was European CEO of Kantar Added Value, and CEO France of Millward Brown. She also serves as a global strategic advisor for Lieberman Research Worldwide, and is on the Board of sports and leisure equipment business ABEO.

Commenting on her appointment, CEO Hannu Verkasalo said: 'Liz's work has been invaluable and instrumental during a pivotal period for Verto, as we have re-evaluated our strategy, prepared our organization for faster growth, and hired a number of experienced executives to lead the team on both sides of the Atlantic. Liz provided successful leadership and guidance in key areas, including our decision to hire Pat Brennan to run our US business, which helped us grow revenue. I welcome Liz, on behalf of our entire team and investors, to formally become the Chair of our Board'.

The firm has also added MDC Media Partners Chairman Steve Farella and tech industry exec Sami Ahvenniemi to its Board. Farella founded MPG Media (now Havas Media) and co-founded media agency TargetCast, which was acquired by MDC. As a Board member, Farella is tasked with helping Verto engage with new customer segments and establishing wider acceptance for the firm's platform among media buyers. Ahvenniemi's background includes working for tech companies in the US and Europe, and serving as Chief Customer Officer at cyber security company SSH, as well as on the Board of more than fifteen growth companies. At Verto, he will support Verkasalo and Brennan to scale the company's operations, including sales.
