84.51º to Move Chicago Office to Prepare for Growth

May 7 2019

In the US, consumer data specialist 84.51º is to relocate its Chicago office in preparation for an increase in headcount from 86 to 250 associates within the next five years.

Stuart Aitken84.51º has its HQ in Cincinnati, and offices in Chicago, the Chicago suburb of Deerfield, New York, and Portland. The firm uses a proprietary suite of tools and technology, as well as customer data and predictive analytics capabilities, to deliver personalized marketing strategies. The business, which was created in 2015, was initially staffed by the former workforce of dunnhumbyUSA, the joint venture between retail analytics pioneer dunnhumby and grocery giant The Kroger Co.

The firm is now moving its Chicago operations to the redeveloped Old Post Office at 433 W. Van Buren Street, in preparation for growth, and will take 56,000 square feet of the Art Deco building, with a floor plan accommodating up to 300 associates. Work on the new space started this month, and the plan is to move 84.51ºs current office on West Kinzie St. in the fall.

CEO Stuart Aitken (pictured), who is also Kroger's SVP of Alternative Business, comments: 'We are eager to forge ahead and increase our presence in downtown Chicago. 84.51º thrives on the energy the city of Chicago exudes, and we're excited to harness some of that energy to grow our operation. The Old Post Office is the perfect balance of consistency and stability blended with new and fresh innovation. I cannot think of a more perfect location for our business to advance and attract talent'.
