Ebiquity Names MDs in US and Europe

May 10 2019

Marketing and media consultancy Ebiquity has hired Jed Meyer as MD of its North American offices, while promoting Nick Pugh to MD, UK & Ireland; Laetitia Zinetti to MD of Continental Europe; and Christian Zimmer to MD for its German, Austrian and Swiss (DACH) business.

Jed MyerFounded in 1997 as Thomson Intermedia, Ebiquity comprises an Analytics division, offering media buying measurement and benchmarking, and performance measurement; and a 'Platform' division which provides media monitoring products. Meyer (pictured) joins in New York from Google, where he served as Director of Brand Measurement, prior to which he was EVP, Corporate Research at Univision Communications and Research Director at Omnicom's Annalect. Earlier, he spent more than seven years at Nielsen, latterly as SVP of Client Solutions, leading a cross-functional team for one of the firm's top ten corporate accounts.

He will now report to Global President Richard Basil Jones, who comments: 'I am delighted to welcome someone of Jed's experience and caliber to the business. His appointment further cements our role as a highly respected and trusted independent advisor to leading CMOs. Jed is an incredibly dynamic and inspiring leader, and his extensive industry experience will be highly valuable to our North America clients. I am excited to be working closely with Jed in 2019 and beyond'.

Pugh, who joined the firm in 2008, was previously Head of Ebiquity's Advanced Analytics practice in the UK and has also helped develop its marketing analytics, recruiting and data science capabilities. Zinetti previously led the expansion of the Media Management practice, having joined the company in 2010 as MD for France, where she launched the company's first office. In her new role, she replaces outgoing Mauricio Barange, who is retiring. Both Pugh and Zinetti will report to Basil Jones.

Zimmer joined early last year as MD of Ebiquity's Media practice in the DACH region with more than 25 years' agency and media sales experience, gained at GroupM, Omnicom Media Group and Dentsu Aegis. In the broader MD role he takes over from Hellmut Fischer, who is leaving to 'pursue new challenges' after a decade at the group. Basil-Jones adds: 'Christian is a proven leader who has a great track record of building successful media businesses. Christian's leadership experience, coupled with his knowledge of brand challenges and solutions in the digital space, will be a significant boost to our client offering in Germany. I'd also like to thank Hellmut for all of his contributions, and wish him much success in his next move'.
