Escalent Names New CFO

US firm Escalent, formerly Market Strategies International-Morpace, has appointed Stan Stec as Chief Financial Officer, leading its finance, accounting, contracts and legal functions.

The agency, which combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a visualization toolset, was formed when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged last summer by private equity firm STG (Symphony Technology Group). Then two months ago the merged company - headquartered in Livonia, MI, USA - was rebranded as Escalent.

Stec joins from software and service integration firm Cleo, where he served as CFO, overseeing all finance and operations, including internal and external reporting, budgeting, contract negotiations, operations and departmental business analysis. He has also served as CFO and in other leadership roles at SDI, NewNet Communication Technologies, Jones Lang LaSalle and IBM.
