Toluna Names Nicholas Langeveld North America MD

Online community and survey tech provider Toluna has appointed former MetrixLab exec Nicholas Langeveld as Managing Director for North America. He replaces Mark Simon, who recently moved back to the UK after fourteen years with the company.

Langeveld (pictured) joins the firm's Wilton, CT-based office from digital research agency MetrixLab, where he led the North America business, including the 2017 acquisition and integration of consumer / influencer research agency Acturus. Prior to this he was EVP at Kantar in North America, and he worked at emotion measurement specialist Affectiva, where he rose from Business Development Director to President and CEO, then Chairman. Earlier, he spent seven years at Nielsen.

In his new role, Langeveld will lead Toluna's North America business, with responsibility for continuing the company's growth rate into the second half of the year. He takes over from Simon, who now serves as MD, EMEA of cybersecurity specialist datto. Langeveld will report directly to Toluna founder and CEO Frédéric-Charles Petit, who comments: 'Langeveld's depth of expertise in digital analytics and his belief in technology, as a necessity for an agile research function, makes him the perfect addition to continue our growth in North America and expand our presence'.
