Populus Data Solutions Names Head of Telephone Solutions

In the UK, data collection and processing business Populus Data Solutions (PDS) has appointed long-time Future Thinking exec Kalpesh Varsani as Head of Telephone Solutions.

PDS runs an online panel, PopulusLive, as well as a CATI centre; and also offers dashboard / visualisation solutions. Winner of the MRS Operations Award for Best Data Solution for the last three years, the company is part of the Populus Group of companies.

Varsani (pictured) joins after eight years at Future Thinking, where he latterly served as CATI Manager. Prior to this, he was Operations Manager at FDS International. In his new role, Varsani will lead PDS' telephone operations.

Commenting on the appointment, PDS MD Chris Atkins said: 'Kalpesh brings with him a wealth of experience, and we are very pleased that he will be driving our telephone operations service. As we approach a crucial time in UK politics, our CATI solutions will be a key methodology to capture the views of the public from a nationwide perspective through to local constituency level polls.'
