Green Launches New Business Insight Firm

Julian Green, former MD of Kantar's B2B practice, is launching a B2B insight and opinion leader communities firm called Nostradamus Consulting. The company has brought in two former oil and gas industry execs to advise on the development of its first initiative, an energy-focused community.

Green (pictured), who recently served as Global MD of MESH Experience before becoming Head of Kantar Millward Brown's Corporate Practice, says his new firm plans to capitalise on the opportunity presented by the closure or Kantar's specialist B2B practice, following WPP's sale of 60% of Kantar to Bain Capital last year. The business will focus on providing the Boards of large organisations with 'smarter business insight', through a combination of market research, social media intelligence and advanced analytics.

Nostradamus' team boasts experience in recruitment, insights, project management, data, analytics, AI, machine learning and human storytelling. Its first initiative has been to build a resource comprising more than 2,000 global energy stakeholders, through which to predict how the sector will react to anticipated and unanticipated corporate actions. Once launched, this model will then be rolled out across other sectors.

Charles Proctor, a former senior executive at BP, Genel Energy and Alpha Petroleum; and Jim Seaton, who previously served as a senior executive at BG Group (now Shell), both bring experience of stakeholder and reputation management to Nostradamus' Executive Committee, which will also comprise experts in data science, reputation, media and corporate communications advice.
