Kantar Names First Chief Technology Officer

Kantar has appointed former London Stock Exchange exec Alex Cesar as its first Chief Technology Officer, responsible for defining and delivering the firm's future technology strategy. She will be based in London when she joins on 1st July.

Alex CesarCesar (pictured) most recently served as CIO of Data & Analytics at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where she led the technology teams. She joined LSEG early this year through its acquisition of financial markets data and infrastructure provider Refinitiv, where she had previously served as CTO and was earlier Global Head - Enterprise Data Platform Technology. Prior to this, she was Global Head of Risk Technology at Thomson Reuters, and she held senior tech roles at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Standard Chartered Bank, and Barclays Capital (Singapore).

In her new position, Cesar will report to Ian Griffiths, Deputy CEO & CFO, who comments: 'Kantar's growth will be generated by using advanced technology, together with our in-depth data and analysis capabilities, to provide superior insights and advice to our clients. In partnership with our product leaders, Alex will define and execute a path to that future, creating a step change in how we use advanced analytics to deliver ever more value to clients as the world's leading data-led insights and consulting company.'
