Mission Translate Appoints Two in UK

In the UK, language and research services provider Mission Translate has appointed David Lamont as Global Sales Director, and Steven Prior as Business Development Manager.

The Birmingham-based firm provides tailored language services for the market research sector, backed by ISO quality-assured processes. Services include audio transcription; face-to-face, telephone and video conference interpreting; MR participant recruitment; multilingual content analysis; and multilingual social media listening. According to the firm, its revenue has increased 89% since the same period last year, and its project management team has doubled in size.

Lamont was previously Associate Director at Morningside Translations, having earlier served as Sales Director, Europe, at Trustpoint Translations; VP Legal and Financial Language Solutions, EMEA at Merrill Corporation, and Business Development Director at language solutions provider ALS. Prior (pictured) was previously Business Development Manager at retail data giant IRI.

Danny Russell, former Chair of the MRS, who joined the Mission Translate Board in November last year, says that the two new senior hires will add a great deal of value to the team and help the business continue its growth.
