Former Dentsu Chief Nick Brien Takes Reins at Amobee

Mobile ad targeting firm Amobee has appointed former Dentsu leader Nick Brien as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Samba Natarajan, who will now focus on his role as CEO of Strategic Portfolio at parent company Singtel Group, and will continue as an Amobee Board member.

Nick BrienAmobee offers a platform for running targeted mobile ad campaigns on a global scale. Users can understand how people consumer content, and how people move across screens, advertisers and broadcasters.

Brien (pictured) joins after serving as CEO of The Americas for marcoms giant Dentsu, leading 15,000 people across 40 operating units. Prior to this he was CEO of digital marketing agency and online buzz measurement specialist iCrossing, McCann Worldgroup, IPG Mediabrands, Universal McCann, Arc Worldwide, and Leo Burnett UK, and he held senior roles at BBJ Media and WCRS.

Commenting on the news, Natarajan said: 'As a member of the Board and as a part of my responsibilities for the strategic portfolio, I will continue to work closely with Nick and the dedicated Amobee team to build on the progress achieved in the business and make Amobee the leading platform for multi-channel advertising across TV and digital; to really win with our strategy to unify, optimize and grow'.
