Microsoft Man Named LiveRamp Chief Product Officer

San Francisco-based enterprise data connectivity and analytics platform LiveRamp has appointed former Microsoft exec David Pann as Chief Product Officer.

David PannPann (pictured) joins after a 25-year career in the software industry, most recently as VP responsible for Microsoft's Global Search Advertising Business. Before this, he was VP and General Manager of the North American Search Advertising Marketplace at Yahoo!, having earlier been a Product Manager and then Senior Director at Netscape Communications. He also held several senior roles at NetIQ Corporation, with responsibility for products, marketing and strategic relationships.

In his new position, Pann will oversee product design, innovation and long-term strategy for LiveRamp's portfolio of products, and explore new verticals beyond advertising and marketing. Scott Howe, LiveRamp CEO, comments: 'David brings a wealth of experience building and scaling world-class platforms and developing exceptional teams - something I can personally attest to, given our shared lineage at Microsoft. I am confident he will be the ultimate advocate and champion'.
