Escalent Adds Four to Life Sciences Practice

In the US, analytics and advisory firm Escalent, formerly Market Strategies International-Morpace, has expanded its Life Sciences Advisory practice with the addition of four Vice Presidents: Courtney Kerwin, Mike Berinato, Donna Patton and Carla Essen.

The agency, which combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a visualization toolset, was formed when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged in 2018. Kerwin and Berinato will serve as senior client managers. Kerwin joins with fifteen years of global MR and consulting experience, twelve of which were spent at insight, brand strategy and innovation consultancy Egg, working with CPG, lifestyle and healthcare clients. Berinato has more than twenty years' experience helping life sciences and other sectors, and working across various treatment areas. Most recently he was Director, Client Development at Brandtrust; before which he spent five years at Escalent / predecessor companies as VP of Research and Consulting; and he was Director, Client Solutions at SKIM.

Patton joins to lead two Life Sciences teams, Insights & Consulting, and Project Management. Most recently she worked at Luminas, latterly as Insights Director; before which she was Director, US Research Management at MetrixLab; and Managing Group Director at acturus. Essen, who now leads the Life Sciences Moderators and Qualitative team. has more than fifteen years of healthcare experience. For the past nearly eight years she worked for MarketVision, latterly as VP, Qualitative Research; prior to which she was an Insight Strategist at Illumination Research; and Qualitative Research Consultant at Itracks.
