On Device Hires for New APAC Commercial Lead Role

London-based mobile research and sample specialist On Device Research has hired former Nielsen exec Simon Clarke for the newly created role of Commercial Lead for Singapore and the APAC region.

Simon ClarkeFounded in 2009 by former M:Metrics execs Alistair Hill and Tim Cleminson, On Device uses proprietary technology to deliver targeted data from profiled global panels. Late last year the company launched a respondent quality and fraud prevention system called Behaviour Trap, to enhance the quality of data provided to brands, advertising agencies and media owners.

Clarke (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' MR commercial experience. Most recently he worked for Nielsen Sports Sponsorship as Client Service Director, before which he served as Director, Consulting at Agility Research & Strategy, and Regional Account Director at MaritzCX, for whom he set up a Singapore office. Earlier, he was VP of Business Development at Morpace; Regional Director at Ipsos; and Director, South Asia for Synovate; having begun his career at NOP World.

In his new role, Clarke is charged with increasing the company's international footprint and driving new business relationships across Southeast Asia and Australia. He will report to Michael Ward, MD for the APAC and MENA regions. Commenting on the appointment, Hill said: 'Simon joins a growing team which has doubled in size over the last year to support a business growth of 35% in the APAC region. The newly created role will allow On Device Research further exposure across key territories where our research products can continue to offer clients innovative and technically advanced solutions in the media research space'.
