Job Spec: Field Locker is seeking an experienced Panel Manager to build, manage, and scale a proprietary panel offering from the ground up.

This is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for transforming early-stage panel databases into a scalable, revenue-generating asset. The successful candidate will own panel operations end-to-end: technology, engagement, recruitment, monetisation, and supplier relationships.

This role suits someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and creating structure where little currently exists.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Panel Management & Platform Development
    • Own day-to-day management of Field Locker's consumer and B2B panels.
    • Work closely with the tech team to design and evolve an efficient panel management platform.
    • Define and document panel processes, workflows, and governance.
    • Ensure data quality, compliance, profiling depth, and panel health metrics are maintained.
    • Act as the business owner for panel-related tools and systems.
  2. Panel Engagement
    • Develop and deliver engagement strategies to keep panelists active, responsive, and retained.
    • Own all panelist communications (email, SMS, incentives, messaging tone).
    • Monitor and optimise participation rates, drop-off, churn, and satisfaction.
    • Implement incentive strategies that balance engagement with cost control.
    • Ensure a positive, consistent panelist experience.
  3. Panel Growth & Recruitment
    • Design and execute recruitment strategies for consumer and B2B panelists.
    • Use a mix of channels (digital, partnerships, referrals, targeted recruitment).
    • Manage cost-per-recruit (CPR) and recruitment efficiency.
    • Test, measure, and optimise recruitment sources continuously.
    • Ensure panel growth aligns with commercial demand and feasibility needs.
  4. Revenue & Commercial Management
    • Own KPIs related to panel-driven revenue generation.
    • Work closely with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure panel supply meets client demand.
    • Support pricing strategies and yield optimisation.
    • Monitor utilisation rates and identify opportunities to increase monetisation.
    • Contribute to forecasting and growth planning for the panel product.
  5. Third-Party Supplier & Marketplace Management
    • Manage relationships with third-party sample marketplaces and partners.
    • Oversee the sale of Field Locker panel sample into external platforms.
    • Ensure commercial terms, quality standards, and delivery expectations are met.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for supplier performance and issue resolution.
    • Identify new marketplace or partnership opportunities where appropriate.
  6. APIs & Technical Integration
    • Support the design and implementation of APIs with buyers and partners.
    • Act as the bridge between commercial, operations, and technical teams.
    • Help define requirements, use cases, and success criteria for integrations.
    • Ensure integrations support scalability, automation, and data integrity.
Experience & Skills Required

Essential
  • 4-7+ years' experience in panel management, sample operations, or data collection.
  • Strong understanding of consumer and/or B2B panels.
  • Experience working with panel platforms, CRMs, or custom panel systems.
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment, engagement, and panel health metrics.
  • Commercial mindset with experience supporting revenue generation.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with limited existing structure.
  • Strong stakeholder management across tech, commercial, and operations teams.

Desirable
  • Experience integrating panels with third-party marketplaces (e.g. sample exchanges).
  • Exposure to API-driven workflows or technical integrations.
  • Background in scaling panels or launching new panel products.
  • Familiarity with incentive economics and yield optimisation.

Location: Field Locker's operational hub is based in Hebden Bridge.

However, for the right candidate, we are open to flexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote working, given the seniority and strategic importance of this role.
