As investment in analytics, AI and data-driven decision making accelerates, they are looking for a commercially minded Senior Business Development Manager to lead new business growth across New Zealand.
This is not a cold-calling role selling an unknown product. With an established reputation, deep market penetration and relationships across much of the FMCG sector, you'll be engaging with organisations that already understand the value of category, shopper and retail insights. Your role will be to uncover opportunities, build relationships and connect clients with solutions that drive commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with leading FMCG manufacturers and brand owners
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, inbound enquiries and targeted outreach
- Lead discovery conversations to understand commercial challenges and growth objectives
- Present tailored solutions across shopper insights, category analytics, retail measurement, consumer intelligence and AI-enabled products
- Develop commercial proposals and negotiate new business opportunities
- Manage onboarding and build long-term client partnerships
- Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth across the New Zealand market.
Who are you?
You could currently be working in FMCG sales, account management, category management, trade marketing or commercial leadership and be looking for a role with greater strategic influence and earning potential. Equally, you may already be selling data, analytics, research, or technology solutions into FMCG manufacturers and retailers.
You'll likely bring:- 5+ years' experience in sales, commercial or account management roles
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand FMCG and retail landscape
- A track record of building relationships and winning business
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commercial curiosity and consultative selling capability
- Energy, resilience and the drive to create opportunities.
