Introduction:

We are seeking a Research Client Group Lead to join our research organization. In this role, you'll lead the strategic design and delivery of brand tracking programs, as well as other research products, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and ensuring insights are translated into clear, actionable business recommendations. You'll leverage your deep market research expertise to manage complex engagements, guide methodological decisions, and mentor and guide junior and mid-level research team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary owner and strategic lead for multiple brand tracking programs and other research projects (typically 5+ studies/projects at a time), ensuring continuity, trend integrity, and high-quality delivery.
  • Act as a trusted senior advisor to clients, confidently leading brand tracking and other research project discussions, managing expectations, and addressing concerns around data quality, trendability, and methodology.
  • Own client-facing conversations on tracker design, evolution, and performance, including navigating sensitive discussions where changes are limited or not recommended.
  • Proactively identify and resolve client delivery issues, stepping in to guide teams when challenges arise and ensuring issues are addressed before impacting client satisfaction.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to project teams supporting brand trackers, setting them up for success through clear direction, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level researchers working on assigned trackers, offering coaching on both execution and strategic thinking (without formal people management responsibility).
  • Ensure brand tracking programs are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards, with close attention to consistency across waves and markets.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Research, Insights, Sales, and Operations) to support RFPs, proposals, and transitions of existing or newly won trackers.
  • Apply experience across multiple research solutions (beyond tracking) to bring a broader perspective and stronger strategic context to brand tracker insights.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Toluna's brand tracking capabilities by sharing expertise, identifying risks early, and promoting best practices across the organization.
  • Leverage AI-enabled research tools and automation to enhance brand tracking and other research projects' efficiency, improve data quality, and accelerate insight delivery while maintaining methodological rigor.

Your profile:
  • 10+ years of market research experience with deep brand tracking expertise.
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-market research programs.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring or managing senior researchers.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable embracing and championing AI-driven innovation in market research, balancing new technologies with sound methodology and client needs.
