Job Spec: Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking independent full-service research agency based in Central London, passionate about providing innovative solutions to their clients, and due to growth they are now on the lookout for a creative and confident Head of Qualitative Research to join their team and help them to achieve their ambitious goals.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary individual with the following qualifications and characteristics:

• Experience at the Associate Director or Director level in qualitative research, with quantitative experience being a plus but not mandatory.
• Proven experience working on the agency side, delivering research services to a diverse client base.
• A successful track record in winning and growing business, including the ability to write compelling proposals.
• A candidate who is excited to contribute to a business's vision and actively participate in its growth.
• Demonstrable capability to independently run research projects, delegate tasks effectively, and manage resources.
• Confidence and ability to manage, build and grow a team of qualitative researchers.
• Substantial experience across various sectors and project types would be advantageous, given that we are not limited to a specific industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director and supporting the senior team in various capacities.
• Grow and manage client accounts by providing exceptional research services and maintaining strong relationships.
• Collaborate on the development of research proposals to secure exciting new projects.
• Contribute to the development of marketing, strategy, and sales plans to drive business growth.
• Lead and deliver on the qualitative aspects of projects, laying the foundation for subsequent quantitative research.
• Manage, recruit, mentor, and train at least two team members and freelancers to achieve outstanding results.
• Attend industry conferences to expand our network and introduce innovative approaches to our qualitative research offerings.
• This role may involve speaking at conferences and writing thought-provoking white papers.
