Primary Responsibilities:

Business development and account development/growth for custom market research with Fortune 500 innovation, R&D and marketing insights research clients. We have some amazing clients for you to work with who are leaders in pharma OTC, beauty care and several of the largest U.S. based food companies. They hire us to help them accelerate innovation and go-to-market success by uncovering actionable behavioral insights. We want your help to introduce us to new clients and grow and expand our relationships and business with existing clients.

Discovery of Fortune 500 company clients and prospective clients research needs and opportunities for behavioral custom research. You are adept at learning who/how client research buying decisions are made and acting as the 'Voice of a Client' to an internal market research team to collaborate on research design recommendations and proposals that will accelerate a client's innovation and go-to-market success.

To be successful in this role you must love working as the 'voice of the clients' and 'orchestra leader' to internal Research Directors, operations team members, behavioral scientists, and qualitative innovators. They see you as smart, motivating, collaborative, helpful, appreciative, efficient, and fair. You're humble because you know to delight clients it takes a team effort and good ideas come from everyone.

You are self-motivated and excellent at working with a virtual team. Others describe you as a research expert and consultant, problem solver and opportunity identifier who is effective at uncovering insights about what clients and their research stakeholders really need to discover to accelerate their business and personal success.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years custom MR experience with Fortune 500 companies, ideally with emphasis on custom quantitative research and qualitative experience; behavioral and sensory research a plus (we can teach you that)
  • Excellent consultative (relationship building) skills with existing and prospective clients and is both a Client Services Leader and Business Developer.
  • Collaborative working style to meet deadlines in a way that is a win-win for clients and internal team members.
  • Strategic thinker and synthesizer, proven business builder with 'executive level presence' who is seen as a Trusted Advisor to both clients and internal teams.
  • Proactive account leader adept at budgeting, project costing, profitability, and business planning.
  • Enjoy meeting with clients and prospective clients. Able to travel to develop/meet and present to clients.
  • A good motivator who can mobilize internal resources for proposal development, project design, and execution.
  • Excellent communicator who has strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and urgent client needs while being kind to others.
  • Excellent, efficient project/process leader and time manager for yourself and for teams working with you on projects.
  • Master of standard business tools like MS Office, Google Suite, etc.
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
