Job Spec: Innovation and Research sit at the core of this award-winning architectural & town planning practice, ensuring that their clients design cities for the future with a deep understanding of context and culture.

With offices across every major city in Australia for over 60 years, they have provided architecture solutions to government and commercial clients across an extensive range of projects - urban planning, residential house design, cultural sites, offices, shopping centres and indigenous and remote locations.

The role:

The research division is a cross-disciplinary group of strategic thinkers who combine innovative design thinking, emerging technologies, qualitative & quantitative research and secondary data. Ensuring that clients plan cities and structures that are adaptable to social, cultural, economic, and technological change - designed to bring people together and share experience

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Write, curate and design research
  • Synthesis, unpack and translate secondary & primary data into insights
  • Produce visually designed graphics, reports and presentations that inform Business development, marketing collateral and thought leadership.
  • Supporting the facilitation of primary qualitative and quantitative research - in-depth interviews, groups and surveys
  • Translating data into insights that shed light on cultural, economic, social and sustainability influences for the future

Essentials:
  • Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to unpack and explain data through stories
  • Experience with qual/quant primary and secondary data
  • Prior experience working within an agency environment.
  • Academic qualifications in urban planning, town planning, architecture and or insights would be advantageous
This is a rare opportunity for you to grow as a researcher and play a pivotal role in guiding the direction of projects and designs.

Please note this is initially a 12-month contract.
