Suzy is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to help plan and drive architecture decisions around the Suzy platform. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, careful planner and advocate for a scaleable, manageable and stable platform.
Suzy is in the process of rapidly scaling from a scrappy startup to an established and mature product with an expansive growth trajectory and requires smart scalable solutions to support this expansion. The Infrastructure Architect is a key contributor to creating and implementing these solutions.
In this role, you will write code and have ownership of delivering features and systems as an individual contributor. However, an important responsibility of the Infrastructure Architect is also to act as an advisor, collaborator and ultimately gatekeeper and approver of decisions across the team as they pertain to the platform's overall architecture, and any related interdependencies between different components of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and maintain the infrastructure architecture that hosts the Suzy software platforms.
- Orchestrate the infrastructure architecture and behavioral attributes of the system, subsystems and their relationships.
- Plan, design and implement solutions to deliver, store, protect and manage data.
- Identify the right platforms and cloud topology solutions use for scalability, reliability and performance.
- Plan with stakeholders to determine best solutions for a technical system. Then design, build, and deploy it as part of a larger project.
- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Software Architects in making decisions around Suzy's architecture to design new systems and improvements to existing systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing the infrastructure architecture of an enterprise product
- An understanding of C#/ASP.Net.
- Experience with building, tuning and optimization of Data Storage systems, e.g., Databricks, Spark, SQL Server, and ElasticSearch.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Services and scalable cloud architectures
- A collaborative working style in agile engineering organizations
- Excellent documentation skills with an emphasis on explaining technical design decisions and architectural design decisions
