Job Spec: Our client is one of the leading providers of evaluation and advisory services to central UK government and its agencies. This role is focused on the broad area of health and social care and will play a critical role in helping drive the continued success of this hugely buoyant area. Key areas are far-reaching, including patient experience, population health and health inequalities, social care and disabilities, mental health, digital health, system integration and workforce.
The team design and conduct process, economic and impact evaluations of national and local policy and programmes. They answer key policy questions and tackle complex challenges, using sophisticated techniques to involve the public, patients, professionals and stakeholders.
The challenges are very high profile, and they are highly complex: recent projects include the NHS response to the pandemic, cancer diagnostic interventions and interventions to support vulnerable groups, deliberation with the public around complex trade-offs, improving health inequalities, the role of technology in care... very important work.

The client is recruiting for a new Evaluation Director to help continue to drive growth in the health and social care arena, to oversee client and team leadership and to ensure the highest quality work. They are very keen to grow new markets including with the European Commission.
This role will see you help develop the team's market position and support continued growth, direct large scale evaluation programmes, lead technical work, manage senior client relations, develop a team and help determine the strategic direction of the team. We are particularly interested to hear from people who have experience working with different markets, such as the EC. And we need to see experience and interest in the health and social care field.
