Job Spec: Unparalleled opportunity for growth in 2024. This is an exciting role for an expert Social & Government researcher looking for an opportunity to drive an agenda of your own.

Joining a national, strategic insights firm in their Sydney team to spearhead a thriving social and government research practice.

You'll work closely with the national MD, as a thought-leader who can drive growth, client outcomes and the S&G team.

Research Director

Already on all the right Federal and State Government research panels, you are primed to build on the existing work portfolio.

You'll oversee the delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects across topics such as gambling behaviour, road safety, swim safety, emergency relief responses and transport. Projects are entirely customised and include communication, policy, or service evaluation and design.

We're looking for a strategic thinker, committed to finding solutions for S&G clients. An adept relationship builder who can write a winning government proposal and lead the team to great success.

Core responsibilities:

  • Strengthen relationships with Government clients
  • Drive new business opportunities
  • Design multimethod research to tackle highly engaging and challenging social issues
  • A hands-on research practitioner who loves the craft.
  • Inspire and lead the small team (2-3 direct reports)
  • Strategic hiring to grow the team
  • Promote the agency as an industry thought leader.
  • Work closely with the National MD and senior leadership team
