Our client is a consultancy within a well known global publishing company which taps into and translates the complexities and opportunities of the future for corporate leaders across a range of industries. Using a range of approaches including desk research, senior level interviews, workshops and round tables, this brilliant organisation work directly with their editorial and events team with a view to provide creative and educational solutions to meet client needs.
A snap shot of projects include a 'game changers forums' round table event that convenes the country's leading thinkers and leaders in small group debate, a quarterly leadership briefing series on sustainable practices for a leading Financial Services client and ad hoc projects surrounding 'the future of work', 'the customer of tomorrow', trends led offer reinvention, helping businesses navigate emerging technologies eg ethical AI and leveraging emerging technology to improve customer experience and develop its future strategy.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual, with a keen interest in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, to help deliver a range of consulting products within an expanding team. Core to this role is client development and client delivery. This isn't about business development as they have a huge amount of incoming work along with global bluechip companies wanting to partner with them - so this is about breaking down complex client and often thorny issues, devising an approach to a solution and then staying at the helm of projects whilst overseeing a hugely talented project management/research team.
This is likely to suit someone looking for greater exposure to strategy and trends i.e. let's not just ask consumers, let's find out from the experts where the world is going in 5-10 years and consider what that means to businesses. Somebody who wants to learn about the key trends that are impacting our world from the sustainability agenda to data, AI and ethics to cybersecurity to ecommerce. Somebody who likes variety. Somebody who wants greater client exposure and responsibility (you will engage with very senior clients right from the outset). Somebody who is comfortable with new things and likes working out how to do things. Somebody ambitious.
Clear communication skills will be crucial as will the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team. Strong initiative will be key in this role as well as a passion for learning and a genuine enjoyment for unravelling complex client issues.
