Job Spec: Our client is an established and well-regarded Research Consultancy with continued growth and a really great range of public and private sector clients. We are looking for an experienced, strategically, and commercially minded Associate Director (AD) to work on government and corporate affairs focused research projects for a range of interesting and high-profile clients. If you are a Research Manager, or already an AD with an established track record of delivering client work to the highest standard, and you have a strong interest in current affairs and social/political/economic trends, then we would like to hear from you.

This is a mixed methods primary research focused role, you will require a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, across a range of qual and quant but at having strength in one and good understanding of the other will suffice. Interpreting and developing insights is as key as being a practitioner. You have a broad range of interests, are curious about how the business world works and follow the current affairs and political trends that influence it. You demonstrate outstanding storytelling, written and verbal skills and comfortable managing projects independently. You have experience of leading client relationships and are confident in a client facing role. You can creatively apply research to business challenges and use your initiative to grow, develop and learn.

We seek some evidence of people management ability as well as strong research project management experience. The projects focus on government and corporate affairs and will analyse data (qualitative and quantitative) to help and advise clients at a strategic level. These projects may focus on public opinion or stakeholder opinion, and will inform Commercial Comms and strategy, Campaigns, Regulatory and Policy, Reputation and more.

You will lead in designing and conducting these projects, thinking creatively to determine the best approach for addressing client challenges and then managing colleagues to produce final reports, presentations, and recommendations for the client. Often you will work with more senior directors and principals, but you will also be expected to lead projects without close supervision. This is a great agency to grow and develop long term and we seek dynamic, agile, and smart individuals looking for a challenge and the chance to be part of a growing team.
