Job Spec: Well regarded and long established industry body seeks a team head to bring together the curation and management of their knowledge, insight and analysis offer. Responsible for the Business Intelligence Unit, you will manage a small team of highly specialised research analysts. The Head of Knowledge and Insight has primary responsibility for the identification, creation and deployment of business intelligence reports that provide data and trends in the media technology industry worldwide. Importantly the post has a strong focus on external communications and commentary on the business intelligence portfolio engaging with members, Global Partners and other industry stakeholders at 'C' level. This will involve high level presentations, attending and speaking at conferences, panel and event hosting, interviews, attendance on companies' earnings calls, content development and creation of articles, blogs and social media all with the aim of ensuring the organisation is the industry leader for data provision to its members.

The BIU contains extensive and varied survey and report based output which is produced by the team, all of whom are highly skilled and knowledgeable in trends in broadcast and media technology intelligence, therefore a demonstrable understanding of trends in technology and its use in the corporate world, is absolutely essential to apply. The skillset in the team, a good understanding of each are essential for the Head to have a strong grasp of, are competitor and market intelligence, qual and quant primary research methods, data analysis and report writing.

Internally you will drive the initiative to greater understand the businesses activities through the provision of internal analysis to help steer strategic direction. The incumbent of this role will be instrumental in this task of internal research and analysis to input into strategic decisions across the whole organisation as well as taking responsibility for developing new offers and outputs.

We seek an experienced curator and manager of data and insights to ensure the user experience and speed of access to the right information should be world class. Working alongside the Digital Media Manager, the management and development of the provision of reporting, will be to the key to success - developing a roadmap and a project plan, incorporating KPI's for measuring performance to develop future success.

As the team lead you will be highly articulate, have very well developed gravitas and communications skills, in particular when talking to members about their knowledge requirements, providing greater insight and the provision of bespoke reports.

To fulfil this role successfully it is important that the incumbent possesses a strong broadcast and media technology knowledge but is also something of a marketeer and evangelist. To cement the customer facing and innovation focused profile of this role the Head of Knowledge and Insight will also be chair of the judges and be available to attend global conferences throughout the year. With team members across western Europe, UK and East Coast America you can be based in any of these areas.
