October 14 2009

iPhone users can now search social mediaThe new Say What? tool scans social media networks for a keyword of phrase, and returns a real-time snapshot of what is being said where and by whom.

Users enter a search term, and the latest conversations from each social media site are returned. The tool displays these conversations in aggregate, and users have the option to dig deeper into the responses on a particular source.

'iCrossing developed Say What? to demonstrate how search, social media and mobile can work together to provide users with information that is real-time and relevant,' said Rachel Pasqua, Director of Mobile Strategy. 'Our goal was to put one-click social media monitoring in the palm of the user's hand.'

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, iCrossing has 550 employees in 12 offices in the US and Europe.
