March 17 2010

Out-of-home (OOH) agency Posterscope has promoted James Davies to the post of EVP of Strategic Development for its digital subsidiary Hyperspace, to oversee the development of new audience measurement techniques.

Free ranging: Davies will explore OOH growth opportunitiesDavies, who currently runs the Hyperspace innovations division in the UK, will now commute between Posterscope's London and New York offices.

His new role will include establishing new tools, processes and research initiatives in the US, as well as looking for further ways to exploit Posterscope's OCS survey, which offers insight into the state of mind of consumers as they interact with different OOH formats.

In addition, he will oversee the recently introduced Eyes-On audience measurement system, and develop new digital initiatives such as Prism Screen, an audience measurement and planning tool for digital screens.

'We are thrilled to be able to tap into James' expertise and the rapidly evolving set of resources available from the network,' stated Connie Garrido, CEO of Posterscope USA. 'The US marketplace is ripe for growth and Posterscope is in a unique position to lead the charge through the combined forces of strategic thinking, scale and best in class proprietary assets.'

Davies explained that his brief is 'deliberately flexible and broad', allowing him to identify opportunities to apply experiences from the UK and other markets while learning more about the US.

'There is a huge potential for OOH growth in the US and some particularly innovative work which will influence our activity in the UK and across the rest of the Posterscope network,' he added.
