Simpson Carpenter Names Retail Head

Wimbledon, UK-based survey research consultancy Simpson Carpenter has appointed Rachael Fraser as Director of its Retail and Consumer team.

Rachael FraserWimbledon-based Simpson Carpenter specialises in providing insight to automotive, retail and technology, media and telecoms clients in the UK and further afield.

Last month, the company hired the former MD of TNS-RI's Business Services Division, Mike Stevens, as Director of Telecommunications Research, in what it described as the first in a series of appointments which will add a number of 'established industry figures' to the senior team.

Fraser joins from M&C Saatchi-owned brand consultancy Clear, where as a Director she was responsible for clients such as Unilever and Reckitt Benckiser.

Prior to this, she worked clientside as Insight Manager at Cadbury Trebor Bassett, and before this she was an Associate Director at Synovate. She began her market research career on the Millward Brown graduate training scheme.

In her new role, Fraser will head Simpson Carpenter's existing retail team and spearhead the firm's expansion into the wider consumer market.

'While she has a strong grounding in agency research, her time in-house has given her great commercial understanding,' said co-founder and MD Tom Simpson. 'More recently, Rachael has advised clients on brand and innovation strategy and this experience will be essential in helping us continue to grow.'
