Active Consumer Panel Launched

September 27 2010

In the US, technology and media company Active Network has launched a panel of consumers with an active lifestyle, via an alliance with research firm Survey.com.

Active Network bills itself as a company helping people to find and register for things to do and helping organizations to increase participation in their activities and events.

Clients will now be offered access to 'a highly engaged and motivated community of active consumers' recruited from the Active.com family of media properties and highly relevant for projects focused on health and wellness, exercise, sports, diet, family activities and outdoor activities. Over 70% of the group is said to be exclusive to this one panel.

Data for the Active Lifestyle Panel includes insight into behaviors, attitudes and motivations as well as actual activity registration and participation data, including such pursuits as running, tennis, hiking, camping, fitness center use and so on. Both syndicated and custom studies will be conducted.

Stephany Cavatoni, the firm's General Manager of Consumer Insight and Access, comments: 'Active consumers are influential, highly communicative individuals who tend to be active in all aspects of their lives and influence their friends and families.'

Survey.com CEO Michael Bach says the alliance 'allows our organization to leverage our significant experience in both custom and online research with the deep expertise and access that Active Network provides.'

San Diego, CA-based Active Network is online at www.activenetwork.com .
