uSamp Pursues 'Fully Automated' Sample Delivery

November 8 2010

MR technology and online sample firm uSamp has launched a new version of its SampleMarket panel access platform, offering enhanced real-time self-service access to its US proprietary panel.

Matt DusiguSamp made the announcement at IIR's www.mrweb.com/cgi-bin/evtfrmr.cgi?ppNum=2410 Market Research Event in San Diego, California, which runs until Wednesday this week. The firm describes the product, which will be available for beta testing in December, as 'the next step along an evolutionary path to fully automated delivery of market research sample'.

SampleMarket 2.0 allows users to access real-time pricing and feasibility information without a telephone or email request. Its full-featured API integrates the software with users' own products and technologies to allow panel access within their own web site, applications and administrative tools. uSamp says the product will provide full support for mobile devices in the first quarter of 2011, enabling users to log in to projects via smartphone any time.

Co-founder and CEO Matt Dusig describes the new version as 'a full-service approach to self-service', and says researchers will experience greater efficiency and time savings, gain unprecedented control and transparency over their sample, and be able to manage their projects in 'real-time, anytime and anywhere.' President Gregg Lavin adds: 'Self-serve and our traditional sample sales and delivery business will co-exist, because our mission is to provide service on top of technology to meet market needs.'

Formerly United Sample Inc., the company was founded in 2008 and grew with the acquisition of DMS Insights in June 2010 from AOL. It now has 145 staff worldwide and around 4.1m panelists globally. Based in Los Angeles, with offices in Dallas, London, New Delhi and Trumbull, CT, the company is online at www.usamp.com .
