Tealeaf Buys Web Usability Specialist Overstat

In the US, online customer behavior analysis specialist Tealeaf has acquired web site optimizer Overstat. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Matthew Cordasco and Leah EdwardsLaunched earlier this year by CEO Matthew Cordasco and CMO Leah Edwards, San Francisco-based Overstat has developed an analytics tool which enables users to uncover which areas of their web sites are drawing most interest from online visitors.

Tealeaf says the acquisition of Overstat's technology - which includes visual heatmaps - will extend its own customer experience management solutions, while also powering new products and services for companies doing business online and on mobile devices.

Rebecca Ward, Chairman and CEO of Tealeaf, comments: 'This acquisition enables us to add even more context about the user experience, so that any company with an online presence can take action to optimize their sites and applications and drive significant business outcomes.
