Portuguese Partner for Gemius

Online audience measurement agency Gemius has partnered with media research firm Marktest to provide measurement in the latter's native Portugal.

Partnership for online audience firmsMarktest will use two tools, gemiusAudience and gemiusPrism, to track visitors and usage for the web sites of 170 leading brands; and more generally will integrate Gemius' solutions into its products for the Portuguese market, for which it already provides Internet measurement via its Netscope service. Gemius already operates in more than 30 markets.

José Manuel Oliveira, COO of Marktest Group comments: 'We believe this is an important step towards the consolidation of the work Marktest has developed along its route... This partnership with Gemius will allow us to improve web metrics we already provide to our market.'

Gemius Vice-President Filip Pieczyński comments: 'The conclusion of the partnership agreement with Marktest is of crucial importance to our company, and, I need to say, we couldn't have ended the year 2012 on a better note.'

Marktest, established in 1980, has its own online measurement tools, such as a software meter for user-centric panels, and site-centric tools, and has published a monthly web traffic ranking since 2007.

Originating in Poland, Gemius already partners with other agencies in specific countries, including Ipsos in Hungary and Mediaresearch in Slovakia.
