iCrossing Promotes Powley to President

US digital marketing agency and online buzz measurement specialist iCrossing has promoted Brian Powley to the role of Global President, replacing President & CEO Don Scales, who is leaving the company after seven years.

Brian PowleyHeadquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, iCrossing offers a range of marketing services including SEO and web development as well as research and analytics. In 2010, the firm was acquired by media and marketing giant Hearst Corporation in a deal valued at $325m.

Powley (pictured) has been with iCrossing since 2007, most recently serving as President of North America. Earlier in his career, he served as EVP, MD of Digitas-owned interactive marketing agency Modem Media, and before that as EVP, MD Western Region for digital agency MRM Worldwide.

In his new role, Powley reports to Hearst Magazines' President David Carey, who comments: 'Brian is a talented, intuitive and creative marketer, focused on client solutions. He understands what resonates with consumers and translates that into effective campaigns to enhance brand connectivity and drive sales. We look forward to the continued success of iCrossing under Brian's guidance.'

Scales became iCrossing's CEO five years ago when he replaced founder Jeff Herzog, having previously served as the firm's COO.
